In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 68 of the Alcoholic Drinks Control Act, 2010, the Minister of State for Provincial Administration and Internal Security gazetted the Alcoholic Drinks Control (Licensing) Regulations 2010 vide Legal Notice No. 206 of 17th December 2010.
Further, in exercise of powers conferred by Section 8 of the said Act, the Minister gazetted the District Alcoholic Drinks Regulation Committees countrywide vide Legal Notice No. 5127 of 9th May 2011.  A person who wishes to manufacture, produce, sell, dispose off, deal in, import or export any alcoholic drink may apply to the respective District Alcoholic Drinks Regulation Committee for a licence.
