Strategic Plan

NACADA Authority has six main strategic objectives which are in line with its vision and mission. These objectives are subject to revision every five years along with the strategic plan. The six strategic objectives are:

  1. Strengthen the capacity of NACADA to coordinate the campaign against ADA in Kenya
  2. Develop a comprehensive prevention program so as to reduce demand for alcohol and drug abuse
  3. Strengthen control measures for alcohol and drug abuse supply suppression
  4. Ensure quality treatment and rehabilitation for persons with Substance Use Disorders (SUDs)
  5. Undertake quality research on alcohol and drug abuse in Kenya in order to guide policy and programs
  6. Strengthen inter-sectoral coordination and collaboration amongst stakeholders

NACADA is in the process of developing its Strategic Plan for the period 2014-2018 and will incorporate the provisions of the Constitution of Kenya 2010, the Alcoholic Drinks Control Act, 2010 and the NACADA Act, 2012 as well as the Medium Term Plan 2013-2017.
