Strategic Plan

NACADA Authority has six main strategic objectives which are in line with its vision and mission. These objectives are subject to revision every five years along with the strategic plan. The six strategic objectives are:

  1. Establishing a functional institutional framework
  2. Developing a comprehensive alcohol and drug abuse prevention program with a focus on demand reduction
  3. Strengthening control mechanisms for alcohol and drug abuse with a focus on supply suppression
  4. Provision of quality and holistic care programmes to drug users
  5. Strengthening research activities on various aspects of alcohol and drug abuse and chemical dependence in Kenya
  6. Strengthening inter-sectoral coordination and collaboration as well as international cooperation.

In light of the enhanced mandate of the Authority and the new Constitutional dispensation, NACADA is in the process of reviewing its strategic plan as well as its strategic objectives.
