Lilian Birech is an accomplished education policy professional currently serving as a Deputy Director in the Directorate of Policy, Partnerships & East Africa Affairs at the Ministry of Education, Kenya, with extensive experience in education policy formulation, regional collaboration and strategic partnerships. She holds a Master’s degree in Educational Administration and Planning and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Nairobi. 

Director Birech is the alternate member representing the Principal Secretary, State Department for Basic Education, in the Ministry of Education
