Authority Partners with Bomet County, Officially Opens Rehab in Koiwa, Konoin

The Authority on the 24th of November 2023 officially opened the Kiowa Treatment and Rehabilitation Centre in Bomet County. Recognizing the importance of working with county governments in order to rid the country of drugs and alcohol abuse, the facility was put up through a partnership with the county government of Bomet.

The event was graced by Her Excellency the Spouse of the Deputy President Pastor Dorcas Rigathi, EGH, Bomet Governor Hillary Barchok and other esteemed guests. Her Excellency said, “I understand there is a 22 per cent prevalence of drugs in this county. That is very bad and if we don’t do something Governor, this county will have a big problem.”

Pastor Dorcas called on all counties to open their doors for such facilities as a way of safeguarding the future of the country. “Those selling poison to our children must close their businesses and get something else to do.” She further cautioned.
